Intellicot replaces your watchful eye
We all like technology, its advances has really helped mankind. But when the new inventions turn us into hopelessly lazy people, that even doing our foremost duties (not chores) become a hassle, is a really sad situation. The Intellicot from Cencio boasts of being equipped with a built-in video camera with portable monitor that allows you to hear and see what the baby is up to at all times. It also has a feature wherein it imitates the rocking motion of a baby in its mother’s arms. All this sounds great, but the fact of the matter is that we will become more dependent on a machine to give our children TLC when they actually deserve ours. Nothing can replace that loving attention of a parent. The cot has an automatic lift that raises the bed several feet at the push of a button, so that you need not bend down to pick him up. Called a “labor of love” by Britain’s Coventry University, we feel that this a terrible replacement of some good mother-bear hugs ands rock’en.
The Intellicot will be available for sale some time in 2007.
