Fisher-Price Smart Cycle is not so smart

Richard Simmons came looking ghastly at the recent demo of the Smart Cycle from Fisher-Price. With the concept of hooking the stationary bike to a television with the hope of educating and exercising children at the same time seems to a sorry excuse for getting this bike. I may be biased but I firmly believe that to exercise children need to be out in the fresh air riding their bike. Children are spending endless hours watching cartoons, playing videogames or surfing the net, they don’t need another excuse to stay glued to the telly! Smart Cycle, plugs directly into a television and as the children hop aboard the bike, race away at the pedals, and attempt to steer into graphics on screen such as letters or numbers in an arcade-style racing game. Teach them alphabets the old-fashioned way mommy, bet those flash cards will do them good!
The Fisher-Price Smart Cycle retails for $100.
